Outdoor Education
Taking a break during a long day of cross country skiing

Students who elect to be in Outdoor Education their junior and senior years choose to participate in two semesters of regularly practicing wilderness first aid, mountain biking, rock climbing, cross country skiing, and orienteering. Additionally, February brings winter camping near Duluth and May brings a three days of backpacking on the Superior Hiking Trail.

Mr. V pauses for one last look at Bean Lake on the hike out
After about 2 miles on the trials at Jay Cooke State Park it was time to shed some layers
