Calvin Christian High School:
Preparing the Next Generation of Christian Leaders for a New Millennium
Building on a 45-year Tradition
What is Calvin Christian? Since 1961 Christian parents have partnered with outstanding teachers to provide God-honoring education at Calvin Christian. Today Calvin's elementary campuses in Edina and Blaine serve more than 550 students from families representing 90 churches and 45 communities. By the grace of God, Calvin Christian School has built a solid reputation for delivering an outstanding, Christ-centered elementary and middle school education. Calvin Christian's high school program is built upon this pattern of excellence.
Engaged in Christian Learning
Who are you? Why did God put you here? Education at CCHS begins with life's basic questions. Exploring God-centered answers to these questions is the core of Calvin's educational mission. We strive to shape student interests toward significant learning at challenging levels of understanding. Students learn through a variety of instructional methods and learning activities, from classroom instruction to internships, individual research to small group projects. The comprehensive curriculum integrates areas of knowledge and provides students with many opportunities to actively apply their learning.
Equipped for Christian Living
How should we live? Where are we going? Calvin Christian aims to provide students with the necessary levels of skill, breadth of knowledge, and depth of understanding they need to be effective servants of Christ no matter where they live or how they serve him. Our goal and expectation is that CCHS graduates will be life-long learners and deep thinkers, exceptionally well-prepared to pursue further education and their life's calling. Most important, Calvin graduates will be challenged to live robust Christian lives, actively expressing their faith in every facet of who they are and what they do.
