Philosophy of Athletics
Interscholastic athletics at Calvin Christian High School are an integral part of the total curriculum. Since we are dedicated to providing a God-centered education, CCHS challenges its athletes to pursue excellence with character. Our athletic program is more than competition between two teams of individuals representing different schools; it is an educational experience between the coach and the team through practices, traveling and playing. Through sportsmanship, teamwork, and dedication, players, coaches, and fans aim to honor our opponents, teammates, school, community, and—above all—God.

Calvin Christian High School commits itself to athletics that develop a perspective on both winning and losing that is consistent with the will of God. This challenge is difficult in a culture that often emphasizes winning at any cost. CCHS strives for excellence in all athletic endeavors, whether or not we win or lose. Successful Christian education promotes the development of the whole person as a service to our King.
