Latin America Unit Overview-Chapters 7-9

We now turn our attention to our neighbors to the south.  Over the next few weeks, students will continue to learn the names of the countries in this region as well as some of the major physical features and bodies of water.  These are the key learning outcomes for this unit:

1. Describe the physical, social and economic issues in Latin America.
2. Know the climate regions in South America and how they impact the economy.
3. Propose a Christian response to the challenges in Latin America.
4. Identify some positive trends occurring in Latin America.
5. Discuss a possible balance between concern for the environment and meeting the needs of people.
