About the Edina Campus
The Calvin Edina campus was established in 1961. A history of steady but slow growth took a marked upswing in 1998 when CCS-Edina added a second section of kindergarten. With the move of dual sections up through the grades, the middle school (grades 6-8) was relocated in 2002 to a location approximately two miles south of the original campus.
With an average of 20 students in each classroom, CCS-Edina has an enrollment of approximately 350
Situated in a wooded residential area of northeast Edina, the Edina K-5 campus of Calvin Christian School offers a superb setting for elementary education. The main building, a 25,000 sq. ft. facility, houses ten classrooms, a computer lab, a library, and a full gymnasium, as well as conference rooms and administrative offices. The "west building" accommodates two spacious kindergarten classrooms, the art room, and a large music/multipurpose room.
Surrounding the school property are Minikahda Vista Park and Weber Field. The tennis courts, athletic fields, and ice skating rink of these municipal properties are available for physical education activities. The nearby sledding hill at Vista Park makes for a bracing winter recess.
The CCS-Edina Middle School is housed in the modern and attractive educational wing of a large church building. Calvin has exclusive use of six spacious classrooms there, as well as office and storage space, and has access to the building's gymnasium and chapel as needed.
