The 2011-12 Annual Fund goal is $350,000,
divided among three priorities:
 

Financial Aid ----------------------------------------- Goal: $200,000

In 2011-12, more than 30 percent of Calvin Christian families have needed financial aid to help them bridge the gap between the minimum pledge on the Fair Share Guide and what they are able to afford.  Grants range from a couple hundred dollars to several thousand, with an award average of $2,700.  Grants totaling more than $440,000 have been awarded, allowing 164 students to benefit from Calvin Christian’s distinctive melding of educational excellence and a biblical worldview. 
 

High School Program Support ----------------- Goal: $75,000

The CCHS program is designed to engage students deeply, directing student interests toward significant learning at challenging levels of understanding.  The diverse needs and interests of students at Calvin are met through instructional methods and learning activities that enable them to gain the necessary levels of skill, breadth of knowledge, and depth of understanding they will need to effectively serve Christ in the world.

The $75,000 raised for the high school in the Annual Fund will help provide the distinctive programs and experiences though which CCHS students are challenged and equipped to live out their calling.

K-8 Program Support ---------------------- Goal: $75,000

Building on a strong foundation of basic skills, Calvin Christian aims to help each student develop the full range of his or her God-given gifts and gain a broad understanding of the world in which they have been called to serve.  This broad view of Christian education is the reason for Calvin Christian’s strong fine arts programs; for our Challenge and Learning Resource Programs; for our recently expanded Spanish program; for our variety of extra-curricular offerings.

Maintaining the breadth and quality of our educational program requires a significant investment.  While most of that investment comes through parents’ Fair Share Pledge payments, $75,000 in additional contributions will help provide programs that might otherwise be out of the reach of Calvin Christian families.
